Game Under Podcast Episode 46
Added: 14.04.2014 8:15 | 3 views | 0 comments
In Episode 46 of the Game Under Podcast Phil Fogg's tyrannical plan to do a news-only-podcast (eww!) is gate crushed just in time by Dave Ader who explains why Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is better value than Infamous: Second Son. Having given up on his sadistic fantasy, Phil Fogg confesses his love for 3D Dot Game Heroes, while Tom Towers admits he was (partly) wrong about Broken Age.

William at GameCloud writes: "Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is an excellent demonstration for what to expect from The Phantom Pain, and thats exactly what it should have been; a demonstration. The truth is, if this game had instead been released as a demo/incentive with another Konami title, the general reception would likely have been phenomenal, and followed by a positive trail of excitement and discussion. For this reason, I find myself conflicted as I have so many positive things to say about my experience with the game, but I simply can not recommend it as a retail product. With that being said, if you are aware of what it is going in, I think enthusiasts will still have a great time given the high level of replayability. Ground Zeroes is technically outstanding and there is plenty of content, but its not a complete game. I imagine a lot of disappointed faces on those who bought it without understanding what it was."

"When we decide to splash our hard earned cash, we like to know that were getting value for money, whether that be in the form of a long and immersive campaign or a multiplayer option that makes us look like virtual gods among our, obviously, adoring teammates. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes boasts neither of these attributes, its short main story lasts half the time of a James Cameron borefest, a online option is non-existent and it's all for a questionably high price..."
